Taking the Blog leap

Okay, so I've tried this before, and aside from guest-blogging, I've failed! Failed in that I didn't end up blogging regularly. I hope that between me and my writing partner, Brenda Mott, we can keep this blog alive and well.

My name is Kayla Perrin, and I'm one of the co-writers of the new book, HOW TO KILL A GUY IN 10 DAYS. The book is a hilarious mystery set in Miami, featuring two friends who become amateur sleuths to solve a murder (and then another one). If you like Janet Evanovich's heroine Stephanie Plum, and Carl Hiassen's zany stories, then you should like this book.

The characters in the story are much like me and Brenda. Lexie is African-American, a city girl, while Hailey is White, Anglo-Saxon, and a country girl. That is true of me and Brenda. I think they balance each other very well, and the reviews of the story have all been great so far.

If you've read the book, Brenda and I would love to hear from you. I've already been asked if this is the start of a series, and the answer to that question is a resounding yes! We definitely have more zany stories in store for Lexie and Hailey in the future!
